Online Course Instruction & Behind-the-Wheel
This package includes and meets the DOT's requirements of:
- Classroom instruction includes a convenient online, student-led class. There is no instructor for this course format. Students need to finish within 90 days of beginning the first lesson.
- 6 driving sessions and 6 observation sessions led by an Oregon Area Driving School instructor. Students need to drive for six sessions and observe another student driver for six sessions (these sessions are scheduled concurrently, so you will only schedule a total of six sessions). Learn more.
After completing the online class and achieving an adequate score on the permit test, you will be eligible to receive your learner's permit. You can obtain your driver's license after completing the online class AND driving/observation sessions. Learn more.

Driver Ed Classroom + Behind-the-Wheel
This package includes and meets the DOT's requirements of:
- Classroom instruction led by an Oregon Area Driving School instructor. Classes are typically held Monday - Thursday, 4:30 - 6:30 pm, for approximately 3.5 weeks (times/dates are subject to change). Please check the class session you registered for to confirm classroom instruction's start and end dates.
